GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Specialist, Content and Production is a hands-on contributor to Tire Discounters' (TD) content team, responsible for producing and maintaining digital content across web, social, and brand platforms. This role produces web content, knowledge articles, video, and supporting digital assets that support customer engagement across tirediscounters.com, its family-of-brand sites, and social channels.
Working closely with the Manager, Content and Production, this Specialist executes content plans and initiatives across vehicle pages, brand pages, location pages, symptom pages, comparison guides, and knowledge center content. The role responsibly leverages AI assisted production tools, PIM-driven product data, and vehicle fitment data to accelerate the efficient creation and maintenance of content at scale while ensuring alignment with brand standards, factual accuracy, accessibility requirements, and structured data best practices that support SEO and AI-driven search visibility.
This is a high-output role for a hands-on, detail-oriented and technically curious contributor who can balance speed, quality, and consistency across multiple digital channels collaborate well across marketing, eCommerce, IT, and external partners and adapt quickly in a fast-evolving digital and AI-driven content environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Content Production and Execution
  • Produce web page content, knowledge articles, comparison guides, FAQ schema, and on-page copy across tirediscounters.com and family of brand sites.
  • Execute sprint plans against the content roadmap, hitting weekly and monthly production targets.
  • Use Automation tools responsibly to accelerate first-draft production, then apply editorial judgment to land the brand voice and factual accuracy.
  • Maintain structured zone templates (Phantom, Risk-Free Promise, Tire Consultation, Comparison Table, Heritage Vault, Napkin Math, Full Catalog, FAQ) so output stays consistent at scale.

Video and Multimedia
  • Capture, edit, and publish short-form video and photography for web, social, and store-level content needs.
  • Build modular video and photo assets that can be reused across pages, channels, and campaigns.
  • Support the production of local content by coordinating with field teams and store staff.

Data-Driven Content Development
  • Pull from PIM product data, vehicle fitment data, and analytics inputs to populate pages accurately and at scale.
  • Partner with the data and analytics team to validate automated content against trusted internal sources.
  • Maintain content libraries, asset tagging, and version control so the team can find and reuse work efficiently.

Quality Assurance
  • QA every published page against checklists for brand voice, factual accuracy, structured data, schema markup, and accessibility.
  • Catch and resolve duplicate content, broken links, and metadata gaps before publishing.
  • Flag platform or process issues to the Manager and IT partners for resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with eCommerce, category management, operations, IT, and external agencies on shared content workflows.
  • Execute content production priorities established by the Manager, and support the roadmap planning, sprint reviews, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute ideas for new content types, formats, and production techniques.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO, AEO, and GEO content principles, including structured data and schema markup.
  • Comfort using AI tools (large language models, content generation platforms) as part of a daily production workflow.
  • Solid editorial skills with the ability to write in a consistent brand voice across many pages.
  • Video and photo production skills, including basic editing in tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or comparable.
  • Comfort working with structured data sources (PIM, product catalogs, vehicle fitment data).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Good time management, process orientation, and ability to hit production deadlines.
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, while maintaining attention to detail, quality standards, and responsiveness to changing business needs.
  • Curious, self-motivated, and willing to learn new tools and techniques quickly.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on content production experience, ideally including web, video, and social.
  • Experience producing content for retail, automotive, services, or comparable categories preferred.
  • Hands-on experience producing content in a CMS, ideally Shopify or a comparable platform is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Operates in both an office setting and within our retail operations.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • Walking, standing, sitting, listening, and talking on a wide variety and continual basis.
  • Required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle and/or feel, lift/carry up to 25 pounds, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
