RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Web Content Developer in Phoenix, AZ.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Content Developer to serve as the lead technical resource for a modern web development team. This individual will lead all phases of the web content platform lifecycle, from architecture and design through implementation and optimization.
This role is heavily focused on solving complex business and technical challenges, designing scalable systems, and delivering high-performing digital experiences. The Senior Web Content Developer will act as a subject matter expert across the web content ecosystem, while also mentoring junior developers and enforcing development best practices.
Project Overview:
This initiative is focused on consolidating multiple public-facing websites into a single, unified digital experience following recent acquisitions. The goal is to create a seamless and scalable content platform that enhances customer engagement and digital consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and develop enterprise-level Content Management System (CMS) solutions, including:
* Digital asset modeling and management
* Content taxonomy and migration strategies
* Authoring workflows and publishing automation
* Lead the development of a next-generation web content platform
* Build scalable, reusable frameworks to support content delivery and migration
* Design and develop internal and external APIs for content and digital asset consumption
* Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate digital content solutions
* Evaluate and implement modern CMS capabilities to meet evolving digital needs
* Develop reusable web and content modules across the organization
* Establish and enforce best practices for system performance, uptime, and recovery
* Provide technical leadership, including mentoring junior developers and setting coding standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Hands-on experience designing, building, and integrating Content Management Systems (Drupal required)
* Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
* Cloud deployment experience (AWS preferred)
* Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular and/or React)
* Background in e-commerce platforms
* Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies and object-oriented programming
* Experience building highly transactional, mission-critical applications
Preferred Qualifications:
* 5+ years of relevant software development experience
* Proven experience leading development efforts for enterprise, multi-user systems
* Full lifecycle experience including design, development, testing, deployment, and support
* Strong understanding of software development best practices (code reviews, CI/CD, source control, etc.)
* Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
