Job description

Overview:
Pluto TV is looking for a Senior Manager of Content Partnerships to help shape the future of our Sports, News, Mini-Major Studio, Anime, Kids, Indie, and broader media partner portfolio. In this role, you'll be at the center of some of our most important content relationships, negotiating deals, deepening partnerships, and driving the content performance that keeps millions of viewers engaged. This role will be based out of the Paramount Burbank office and will report to the Vice President of Content Partnerships and International Relations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Negotiate license agreements, deal amendments, and extensions across Sports, News, Mini-Major Studios, Anime, Kids, Indie, and broader media to structure partnerships for long-term growth
  • Proactively develop and maintain long-term partner relationships, delivering remarkable account management through consistent communication and regular and ad hoc performance reviews
  • Optimize the content pipeline from existing partners to bolster validated categories and support programming expansion across new and emerging categories, including live events and sports rights
  • Craft and execute operational plans for partner expansion, using data and key metrics to evaluate content acquisition opportunities, monitor performance, and identify areas for growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Programming, Marketing, PR, Finance, Legal, Operations, Ad Sales, and Distribution to operationalize deals and maximize content performance
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance on deal execution, industry best practices, and disciplined data-driven analysis
  • Support senior management on special projects and additional priorities as needed

Basic Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in content partnerships, account management, business development, or content acquisition within digital media, streaming, broadcast, or sports/news media
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent tools) for deal analysis and presentations
  • Bachelors Degree preferred; MBA a plus

Additional Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of the sports and news media landscapes, including rights structures, distribution models, and key media companies
  • Solid understanding of content licensing business models, deal structures, and partnership lifecycle management
  • Forward-thinking, tech-savvy mindset with the ability to learn and optimize new tools, platforms, and workflows
  • Proven track record managing complex, high-value partner relationships with a client-first approach
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 128,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
