You, Our Ideal Candidate
The Content Specialist supports the development, coordination, and execution of internal and external communications for Life Enriching Communities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Communications, this role is responsible for creating compelling, mission-centered content that strengthens organizational storytelling, supports brand consistency, and engages residents, associates, prospects, and the broader community. The Content Specialist collaborates with departments, campuses, creative services, and marketing leadership to develop content for a variety of communication channels, campaigns, and organizational initiatives. This role plays an important part in supporting organizational visibility, associate engagement, occupancy initiatives, and thought leadership efforts through strategic, high-quality written communications.

Content Development
  • Write, edit, and proofread content for internal and external audiences
  • Develop content for advertisements, brochures, newsletters, social media, websites, blogs, emails, and promotional materials
  • Support development of organizational storytelling initiatives highlighting residents, associates, programs, and services
  • Assist with executive messaging, organizational announcements, and associate communications
  • Create content supporting occupancy, growth marketing, and community engagement initiatives

Internal Communications Support
  • Support development and maintenance of LEC Insider content
  • Assist with associate communications and ambassador program initiatives
  • Help coordinate communication materials supporting organizational culture and engagement
  • Collaborate with departments to gather information and develop internal communication content

External Communications Support
  • Assist with media materials, press releases, award nominations, and thought leadership content
  • Support content needs tied to sponsorships, events, campaigns, and organizational initiatives
  • Help maintain consistent messaging and brand voice across external communications
  • Support community outreach and visibility initiatives through strategic content development

Creative & Brand Collaboration
  • Collaborate with creative services team to align written content with visual design and campaign objectives
  • Ensure all content reflects organizational brand standards, tone, and messaging priorities
  • Assist with project coordination and content updates across communication platforms

Organizational Support
  • Support multiple campuses, departments, and operational initiatives with communication needs
  • Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned
  • Maintain organized workflows and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions supporting department goals and campaigns

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and communication platforms

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or content development
  • Experience working in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or service-oriented organizations
  • Familiarity with Word Press, digital content platforms, newsletters, and social media communications
