Responsibilities
TikTok Platform Responsibilities Business Governance team is responsible for building a safe, trustworthy, and sustainable business ecosystem across global markets. The team develops governance policies, operational standards, and risk management frameworks to ensure platform integrity while balancing compliance requirements, business growth, and user experience. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Algorithm, Operations, Moderation, Legal, Policy, and Risk Control teams, the Business Governance team drives the development and implementation of governance strategies that protect ecosystem health, mitigate emerging risks, and support long-term business success. Responsibilities 1. Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize content safety policies and enforcement frameworks for key business scenarios (including Short Drama, Push Notifications, and other content surfaces), balancing compliance requirements, business objectives, and user experience. 2. Conduct investigations and analysis of policy-violating content, risky behaviors, abnormal accounts, and emerging ecosystem risks; identify root causes and propose scalable safety solutions. 3. Design and improve content safety strategies and enforcement mechanisms for content, accounts, business entities, and related ecosystem activities to strengthen platform risk management capabilities. 4. Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Algorithm, Moderation, Operations, Legal, and Policy teams to translate safety policies into executable review guidelines, operational processes, and product capabilities. 5. Monitor safety performance through data analysis and business feedback, establish measurement frameworks, and drive continuous iteration of safety policies and strategies. 6. Improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across both human review and automated enforcement systems through operational optimization and policy refinement. 7. Lead or support high-priority safety initiatives and risk mitigation projects, developing solutions for complex and emerging content challenges. Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and evolving risk patterns to proactively strengthen safety policies and ecosystem protections.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above. - 2+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Content Moderation, Policy Operations, Risk Control, Platform Safety Operations, or related fields. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into scalable solutions. - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail - Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is needed to manage stakeholders in China market Preferred Qualifications - Experience in content safety, content integrity, policy operations, or risk management within internet companies. - Experience with short-form video, push notification, or high-exposure content scenario safety operations. - Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Algorithm, or Moderation teams on policy implementation and enforcement initiatives. - Familiarity with content moderation workflows, safety policies, or risk detection systems.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $108000 - $208800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
