A Caption Editor should possess excellent language proficiency, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of grammar and style, often backed by a degree in English, journalism, or related fields. Familiarity with captioning software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or dedicated captioning platforms, as well as knowledge of accessibility standards, is highly valuable.
