Content Guru is thrilled to be hosting an Assessment Day at our Reston, Virginia office on September 16, as we search for top-caliber graduates to join our Sales team as Account Executives.

What We're Looking For...

We are seeking candidates with a genuine passion for technology to join our global team based in Reston, Virginia. As an Account Executive, you will promote and sell innovative technologies and customer experience (CX) solutions to organizations around the world. You'll attend industry events and trade shows, build lasting customer relationships, and work alongside experienced professionals with decades of expertise.

You'll also receive industry-leading training on both our comprehensive product portfolio and proven sales methodologies, including prospecting, objection handling, and consultative selling techniques, giving you everything you need to succeed.

This position is based in our Reston, Virginia office.

As an Account Executive, You Will Be Responsible For:

Product and Sales Knowledge

  • Continuously expand your understanding of key products, technologies, and services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market developments.
  • Communicate the business value of our products and services to customers and colleagues.
  • Contribute ideas and expertise to marketing and brand initiatives as needed.
  • Support and mentor fellow sales team members to help drive their development and success.


Account Planning

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and margin targets from new customers.
  • Develop and maintain documented account plans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other internal teams to identify and target prospective customers.
  • Create tailored sales strategies for key customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts by effectively managing opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Keep CRM systems and internal records updated with account activity and progress.


Customer Relationships & Satisfaction

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers.
  • Identify opportunities to promote and sell additional products and services.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer objectives, priorities, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage customer expectations throughout the sales process, implementation, and contract lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure customer needs and expectations are met.
  • Advocate for customers internally and escalate issues when necessary.


Proposal and RFP Management

  • Partner with Presales, Delivery, Support, and other stakeholders to develop, present, and successfully close new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional proposal teams to deliver high-quality proposals and RFP responses on time, escalating issues as needed.
  • Thoroughly qualify prospective customer accounts to understand requirements and address customer concerns throughout the sales process.


The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Retail, customer service, or other customer-facing experience.
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team to complete projects or achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in selling products, services, or concepts.
  • Experience using a CRM platform or similar sales tools.
  • Experience or interest in technology, telecommunications, or software solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Professional presence with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with customers.
