Job description

What if you could shape how AI agents and marketers work side by side to create, manage, and deliver content on a global scale. AWS Marketing is shifting from tool-assisted to AI-native, and it won't happen from a product silo. It happens when someone embeds directly with the teams doing the work, sees how content actually moves through the system, and rebuilds it with AI from the inside out.

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to embed directly with Product Managers and marketing teams across AWS. You'll turn their highest-friction workflows into AI-first systems where AI agents can reinvent how work gets done. Your role: figure out what the future-state workflow needs to look like, design how agents and humans collaborate within it, wire the systems together, and drive the effort from prototype to production.

You are the connective tissue between what's possible and what actually ships.
The work spans the full content lifecycle - web publishing, creative production, localization, brand operations. One week you may be wiring an agent into a creative workflow, the next redesigning how global content flows across AWS properties through AI-enabled translations, the next prototyping a system that turns a brief into a publishable asset with a human in the loop at exactly the right moments.

This is not a traditional role. You put working software in people's hands to validate ideas in hours, not weeks. You are comfortable with MCPs, orchestration frameworks, and tool integrations, and you have the product judgment to know what's worth scaling versus what's just technically interesting.

In a world where everyone can build with AI, you bring great taste: the ability to distinguish great from good through deep customer empathy, structured problem framing, and relentless focus on adoption as the finish line.
60% building, 40% leading. You'll have executive sponsorship and engineering partners to scale what works.

Your prototypes won't die in a backlog; they'll become platform investments that serve hundreds of marketers and touch millions of customer-facing assets.
Key job responsibilities
Build to learn. Take identified opportunities and turn them into working prototypes using model APIs, agent frameworks, and lightweight code.

Compress the distance from idea to conviction.
Design the human-agent experience. Define where humans stay in the loop, at which steps, and with what controls.

Shape how marketers discover and interact with agents, and how agents collaborate with each other through protocols, context passing, and trust signals.
Turn validated prototypes into production architectures. Partner with engineering to move from "this works" to "this ships".

Defining the technical path, integration points, and data contracts that make a prototype durable.
Own agent quality in production. Define evaluation frameworks, set quality thresholds, monitor drift after model or data changes, and drive continuous improvement based on real usage.

Build the scaffolding that accelerates the team. Create reusable patterns, agent templates, integration blueprints, and reference architectures that make PMs and engineers faster at shipping AI-native workflows.
Evangelize what's possible.

Run workshops and provocations that help stakeholders experience the future through working artifacts, not decks. Turn skeptics into co-owners by putting working software in their hands.
About the team
The Content, Brand Technology and Applied AI team builds the foundational technology that powers content creation, management, and distribution for AWS Marketing.

We are at the forefront of integrating AI and agentic orchestration into marketing workflows, working across content generation, asset management, content health, localization, and channel distribution. Our systems serve hundreds of marketers and touch millions of customer-facing content assets across aws.amazon.com.
We move fast, we build with taste, and we measure success not by what ships but by what gets adopted and loved

We believe the best way to shape the future is to build it, validate it, and put it in people's hands.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the AI-powered future of content technology at AWS Marketing. You will work at the intersection of AI, content management, and marketing technology, with significant ownership to define the design technology practice from the ground up and drive outcomes felt across the organization.
