Job description

Are you passionate about joining a dynamic AWS team that drives sales excellence through strategic enablement? The Sales Planning and Compensation (SPC) team designs integrated planning processes and sales compensation programs to activate AWS' GTM strategy. SPC manages annual planning, in-year adjustments, and sales compensation design to align seller incentives with AWS' strategic priorities.
We are seeking an experienced Content Developer with a proven track record of designing and delivering compelling content for diverse audiences including sellers, sales managers, sales operations teams, and sales leadership. This role will be responsible for creating high-impact enablement materials that span both sales compensation and sales planning topics, helping sellers understand their compensation plans while ensuring sales operations and management teams have clear documentation about planning cycles, processes, and tooling.
This role will collaborate closely with design, policy, and program teams across both sales compensation and sales planning domains to create clear, engaging content. You will flex to cover a wide span of topics ranging from seller-facing materials about sales compensation plans to technical documentation on process flows and data sets. The ideal candidate combines excellent communication skills with strong program management capabilities and technical aptitude to effectively translate complex technical and business concepts into digestible, user-friendly content for varied audiences.
Key job responsibilities
• Plan, write, edit, and manage a robust library of clear, comprehensive content, including user guides, product how-to guides, FAQs, support content, PowerPoint presentations, reference guides, video assets, graphics, web content, email, and e-learning courses
• Distill technical information, complex business processes, and change impacts into crisp, user-friendly communications that drive awareness and adoption
• Create content for multiple audiences: seller-facing (sales compensation topics), sales operations and management (sales planning strategy and operations), and technical documentation (process flows and system functionality)
• Partner deeply with cross-functional teams, including program and product management, support, external partners and subject matter experts to gather information and understand what's required to author content to support our users
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create cohesive enablement strategies that support successful launches and rollouts
• Manage end-to-end content development for new launches, ensuring structure, organization, accuracy, clarity, and compliance with program standards
• Monitor and analyze content effectiveness metrics, continuously optimizing approaches to maximize impact
• Navigate a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
A day in the life
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing content on Sales Planning and Compensation topics. This includes creating PowerPoint presentations, user guides, process documentation, and coordinating with program teams across both sales compensation and sales planning domains. You will flex between seller-facing enablement content, conceptual documentation, and technical documentation. Your work will help to promote a self-service approach, addressing knowledge gaps to reduce support inquiries and keeping pace of changes to processes, policy, and tools functionality.
