Reporting to: Director Integrated Marketing

Zaner-Bloser develops curriculum resources to teach foundational literacy and math skills to students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. Our resources help teachers engage and empower students and inspire more “aha” moments to harness the creative power of learning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Generate new messaging and content to support all marketing efforts, including advertising, social media, brochures, flyers, samplers, websites, and other special projects
  • Exhibit superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including knowledge of grammar and conventions
  • Produce content in compliance with Zaner-Bloser marketing style and editorial guidelines
  • Display ability to balance multiple efforts while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality of work
  • Collaborate with the product/campaign marketing and product management teams to ensure that all content messaging aligns with and supports go-to-market strategy
  • Build proficient knowledge of our products and stay current on trends in education, marketing, and technology
  • Adapt content according to different channels/initiatives
  • Concept/generate value-added content to enrich customer-centric communications and promote in-bound marketing efforts
  • Become a Zaner-Bloser brand champion and support marketing efforts at the corporate level when needed
On your first day you’ll:
  • Demonstrate your comfort working remotely and contributing via Teams/video
  • Display your openness to learning new processes
  • Express your willingness to collaborate with other members of the marketing team and across multiple departments
  • Exhibit your innate sense of curiosity and enthusiasm as you embrace the Zaner-Bloser mission and learn the Zaner-Bloser product lines and the education market
Within your first month, you’ll:
  • Demonstrate growth in your product knowledge and familiarity with roles and responsibilities within the different working groups
  • Display your ability to absorb, process, and communicate information
  • Work independently to produce original pieces that include input from multiple stakeholders
  • Show your aptitude for working with integrated marketing, design, and project management to maximize efficacy and efficiency of projects
Within your first year you’ll:
  • Demonstrate your ability to create new messaging for product brands and campaigns and inhabit the brand voice across channels
  • Exhibit your capacity to work on multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Participate in campaign debriefs to assess performance, identify areas of success, and make adjustments for future efforts
  • Bring forward new and innovative ideas that improve ZB marketing impact
  • Apply your increased knowledge of our product and market to the development of tactical marketing plans
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:
  • B.A in Marketing, Writing, English, Journalism, or Advertising preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience on a corporate or commercial advertising/marketing team creating marketing materials across a variety of media including (but not limited to) print, e-mail, digital/web, paid and organic social, video
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Willingness to embrace brand and style guidelines
  • Team player with a customer-first mentality
  • Comfortable using approved AI tools responsibly to support content development, ideation, research, and efficiency, while exercising sound judgment and maintaining responsibility for the accuracy, quality, originality, confidentiality, and brand alignment of all final work.
