Position Overview

The Content and Digital Asset Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting marketing strategy and communications for the North American market. This position is responsible for coordinating the development, organization, and distribution of marketing content and digital assets across multiple communications channels, supporting multiple brands across two business platforms: UNITED GRINDING and UNITED MACHINING. This role is intended to work out of the Lincolnshire, IL office of UNITED MACHINING. Travel of up to 25% may be required at times.

Working closely with marketing leadership, product experts, agency partners and sales teams, the role is responsible for coordinating the production of technical marketing content (print, web, digital, video, etc…), and ensuring all of the digital assets are managed, organized, and accessible to stakeholders who need to access them. This person will also be responsible for administering the tools stakeholders use to access these assets.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technical storytelling, digital content development and management, and marketing operations within a highly technical manufacturing environment. Ideally, this person will have some familiarity with the machine tool and/or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development Coordination

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing content across multiple channels including websites, email campaigns, videos, brochures, and technical application and customer case study/testimonial stories. Approach content development with a creative mind – fresh ideas are always welcome!
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts such as product managers, application engineers, and sales teams to gather technical information for marketing content.
  • Assist with planning and maintaining the marketing content calendar.
  • Work with external marketing and video agencies to develop content assets including graphics, videos, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure marketing content aligns with global brand standards and messaging.

Website Content Management

  • Manage updates and improvements to North American website content.
  • Coordinate creation and publishing of product pages, landing pages, blog posts, and other online content
  • Ensure technical product information is updated and included in contextually relevant places as new products are released
  • Support SEO and UX improvements

Digital Asset Management

  • Maintain and organize the company’s digital asset library including images, videos, brochures, technical drawings, marketing collateral and other assets as required
  • Ensure assets are properly tagged, categorized and accessible for internal teams, dealers and marketing partners
  • Coordinate the collection and archiving of new assets from internal teams, agencies, and HQ
  • Establish best practices for asset naming, version control, and content lifecycle management

Marketing Operations Support

  • Assist with campaign asset coordination including email graphics, landing pages, social media assets and promotional materials
  • Support marketing analytics by helping track content usage and performance
  • Work closely with the events and marketing program coordinator to provide content assets for trade shows, product launches and customer events

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as a central coordination point between marketing, sales, product management, and external agencies
  • Help translate technical product information into clear marketing materials
  • Coordinate North American adaptations of marketing materials developed by global headquarters

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing with content coordination, digital asset management and website management responsibilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to translate technical product features into meaningful benefits for customers
  • Ability to manage multiple products across different product groups – past experience marketing in a matrixed environment is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, engineering, or B2B technical marketing
  • Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems and content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience coordinating with marketing agencies or creative partners
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles
  • Basic understanding of marketing automation platforms
