Job description

Day (United States of America)Program Manager: Revenue Cycle EducationThe Revenue Cycle Education Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive education and training programs across all revenue cycle functions, including front-end (scheduling, registration, authorization), mid-cycle (revenue integrity, coding, charge capture) and back-end (billing, payment posting, follow-up, recovery). This role ensures delivery of educational materials and completion of developed programs in respective revenue cycle departments in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements as they are updated.
Manager will collaborate with revenue cycle leaders and key staff to identify training needs, oversee the design and delivery of eLearning and instructor-led programs, and aim to continuously improve training performance. Additionally, the manager oversees programs to support staff in pursuit of professional certifications. This role offers the manager the opportunity to blend strategy, instructional design, and mentorship while helping staff achieve educational outcomes critical for staff's personal growth and career development.

Bachelor's degree in HIM Healthcare Administration, Business, Education, or related field (Master's preferred). Equivalent healthcare experience and certification will be considered in lieu of degree

Minimum 7 years in revenue cycle operations with at least 2 years in education or leadership roles.

Extensive Electronic Medical Records Experience (EMR) revenue cycle modules required with 2 plus years in EPIC preferred.

Strong knowledge of cause-and-effect relationships between revenue cycle functions

Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable training strategies.

Certification in one more multiple of the below is preferred. At least one of the below is required for the candidate to have.

o Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

o Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)

o Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

o Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

o Certified Professional Biller (CPB)

o Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)

o Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM)

Develop and maintain onboarding and continuing education programs for all revenue cycle teams.

Create training material to include but not limited to learning management modules, job aides, case studies, host sessions with end-user and leadership groups alike

Ensure training material reflects compliant content for regulatory requirements that apply to all functional areas. In addition, content should be updated for all education programs based on changes to respective sources with expectation of having no less than annual review.

Collaborate with teams to ensure auditing results in feedback loops with supervisors, managers and other leadership to ensure training needs are met for employees who need assistance

Analyze KPIs (e.g. AR days, denial rates, coding accuracy, DNBs and claim edit errors) to identify trends, identify the root cause and develop targeted trainings for delivery tracking outcomes with leadership

Collaborate with senior leadership in all revenue cycle and external departments to align training programs with respective departmental goals

Coordinate with IT and revenue cycle leaders for workflow changes based on system upgrades, enhanced workflows are decided on with leadership and educated to impacted parties

Ensure education is provided on systems used in respective departments

Oversee staff progress toward achieving and maintaining professional certifications

Provide premiere customer service to ensure that customer satisfaction is met to meet the needs of their role

May be assigned operational workload or workqueues assignments for respective assigned revenue cycle departments that need intervention at direction of senior leadership

Promote and adhere to departmental and organizational information security policies, standards and procedures

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
