Job description

PayIt is a fast-growing GovTech company on a mission to modernize how residents interact and transact with government, improving the customer experience and helping our client agencies more efficiently and effectively achieve their missions. Our easy-to-implement platform consolidates government services and payments into one connected experience and enables our clients to drive resident trust, collect revenue quickly, and redeploy their staff to more important challenges. This innovative approach to government service delivery has garnered significant recognition in both the public and private sectors, including our inclusion in the GovTech 100 every year since 2017. PayIt solutions cover services including hunting and fishing licensing, DMV, courts, property tax, utilities, tolling, and more.

Our culture welcomes people who exhibit what we call "PayIt DNA": High integrity, drive, grit, high aptitude, and team orientation. We are collaborative and passionate about the work we do to improve the lives of our government clients and the end users they serve. We have ambitious scaling goals, and we look for team members who are ready to roll up their sleeves, solve problems, and find new opportunities to win with our clients. And we have a lot of fun together.

About The Role:At PayIt, the Adoption Marketing team is an in-house marketing agency serving PayIt's clients in state and local government. We help our
clients promote the digital government services offered on our platform to consumers. As a Consumer Marketing Intern on the Adoption
Marketing team, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients as they focus on promoting digital services to their residents. You'll work on
just about every aspect of the campaigns we create, execute, and analyze for our clients.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital advertising, email marketing, content creation, and
performance marketing while working in a dynamic, innovative environment. We will train you on many of the systems and tools we use

every day in our marketing organization, giving you essential experience you will use in future jobs. You will work with campaign managers,
designers, writers, and other members of our team every day, getting exposure to a broad range of marketing roles.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Email Marketing: Handle the entire email campaign process, including setup, content creation, proofreading, and scheduling, aiming
    to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
  • Social Media: Create copy and visual elements for our clients' social campaigns.
  • Creative: Use basic design skills for file manipulation and adaptation of base designs to meet campaign needs, including signage,
print handouts, digital ads, and more. (You don't need to be a designer yourself; you'll be working with our creative team!)
  • Reporting: Create internal and client-facing outcome reports from various data sources.
  • Analysis: Examine marketing data to identify trends, assess campaign effectiveness, and propose actionable insights for
    optimization.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform thorough quality assessments on all marketing materials to uphold brand integrity.
  • Project Coordination: Assist with project management tasks to ensure on-time delivery of campaign assets.
What You'll Need to Have:
  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, communications, or related discipline.
  • An eye for visual design, plus some experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools to modify and
    manage creative assets.
  • Skilled in spreadsheet applications (Google Sheets) for basic data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in proofreading.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the flexibility to adapt to new challenges.

Why Work For Us:

  • Our mission matters. Your work will make life better for our government agency clients and the millions of residents they serve.
  • You'll do some of the best work of your career here. We tackle complex challenges that are interesting to solve, and you'll grow a ton working at PayIt
  • People are our most important resource. Everyone has a voice. Collaboration is our default setting. And we have fun together.
  • We #payitforward with our corporate volunteer program, serving the communities where we work and live.
  • Competitive salaries, excellent benefits, flexible working arrangements, and all the resources you will need to do your best work.

What We Care About:

We hire high-aptitude, high-integrity people who are great communicators and want to be part of a growing team.

A Note About AI at PayIt
We love AI. We use it every day and encourage our team to find creative, effective ways to put it to work. If you join PayIt, you'll bring the same enthusiasm for exploring how AI can amplify impact, productivity, and innovation. During the interview process, though, we want to hear from you, not a model. Our goal is to understand how you actually think, solve problems, and communicate, so we ask that your live conversations and assessment responses be your own work.
