The Sr. Consultant, Advisory Services is responsible for executing core strategy and management consulting workstreams within payer client engagements, developing high-quality deliverables, and contributing to problem-solving under the guidance of Managers and Directors. The Senior Consultant must demonstrate solid strategy and analytical capabilities, healthcare industry and payer knowledge, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights. This role serves as a key contributor to engagement delivery, supporting client-facing activities, contributing to business development pursuits and practice development activities, and developing expertise in specific practice areas.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as key driver around structuring and executing core consulting workstreams within payer client engagements (strategy and transformation focused engagements), including market and voice of consumer research, quantitative and qualitative research, deliverable development, etc.
  • Develop high-quality work products including presentations, financial models, and qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to support engagement hypotheses and recommendation development 
  • Demonstrate solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders about the accuracy of the solutions and aid them in successful implementation 
  • Drive planning and facilitation of key client, executive, and/or stakeholder meetings and contribute to discussions and follow ups
  • Establishes optimal communication cadence with client stakeholders and demonstrates executive presence 
  • Synthesize complex data and information into clear, structured insights
  • Communicate effectively and accurately in writing and verbally 
  • Demonstrate solid relationship development skills and ability to handle challenging interpersonal situations
  • Support coaching and development of analysts and consultants on the team
  • Contribute to internal practice initiatives including business development, product / offering development, and thought leadership beyond client project work

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience in strategy and management consulting (McKinsey-BCG-Bain/Big 4/Boutique) or equivalent professional services environment 
  • 1 years of experience in healthcare (payer or life sciences)
  • 1 years of data analytics and financial modeling experience
  • 1 years of experience breaking down ambiguous problems and developing clear, actionable frameworks and recommendations
  • 1 years of experience developing executive-level presentations and deliverables 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel 
  • Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborating effectively in team settings
  • Demonstrated ability to travel domestically, up to 50% when required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, generative AI platforms, AI-driven analytics) as part of day-to-day delivery and team workflow; model AI-first behaviors for the broader practice
  • Experience supporting end-to-end sales and business development life cycle in a consulting environment (e.g., lead generation, proposal development, RFP response)
  • Background in healthcare consulting 
  • Creative in problem solving approach

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
