What You'll Do

BCG is growing! We are looking for experienced consultants to join our team at the Project Leader level.Qualified individuals will play a critical role in enriching project work in their respective areas of expertise and in bringing forward-thinking solutions to our clients. Ideal candidates will have previous management consulting experience and demonstrated leadership in growing client relations, people and knowledge development.

Project Leaders play a key role on client engagements, managing studies to define client needs and supervising research activities to obtain relevant data. Project Leaders oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and the advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data. They apply knowledge of business principles and industrial organization, develop actionable recommendations, and supervise work including strategic due diligence, Consumer insight /primary research studies, change management plans, and the evaluation of long-term investment opportunities. Project Leaders are also responsible for managing client contact and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.


What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated expertise within the Consumer Industry, with a preference for experience in CPG or Retail topics.
  • 2-3+ years consulting experience, with 1+ years at a team lead level, ideally in Consumer sectors.
  • Track record of collaboration with senior executives. Must be comfortable delivering formal presentations to management.
  • Strong management and communication skills. The ability to bring together all stakeholders and persuade senior clients to take action is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking. Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value. Must be able to thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive rather than deductive reasoning is the norm.
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide "thought leadership" to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
  • A combination of management and "hands on" delivery experience is critical.
  • A solid track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business.
  • Technical degree is nice to have but not required.
  • A degree from a top-tier institution preferred.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, Minneapolis, or Detroit.

The base compensation for the Project Leader role is $225,400 in USD.
