Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is a leading management consulting firm, and they are seeking a Mid Technical Editor to enhance organizational performance through strategic recommendations. The role involves advising on operational improvements and managing multiple publication projects with a focus on technical editing.
Responsibilities:
• Apply a broad understanding of both quantitative and qualitative analysis and recommendations to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, processes, human capital or culture, and information technology.
• Make recommendations on how to capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance.
• Advise on how to improve operations and serve as a practitioner with multiple areas of expertise that span across management advising pillars, as well as other functional communities.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 1+ years of experience with technical editing in a government or private environment
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
• Ability to proofread for grammar and punctuation with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to pay strict attention to detail
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with writing or editing, or 7+ years of experience with writing or editing in lieu of a degree
Preferred:
• Knowledge of DoD intelligence editing standards and styles
• Knowledge of Community Authorized Classification and Control Markings
• Ability to manage multiple publication projects and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
