About the Company

Our recruiting firm has partnered with a growing commercial construction and remodeling company in Waukesha, WI seeking an experienced Director of Construction to lead commercial operations and drive strategic growth.

This organization delivers high-quality commercial construction projects and, with a strong project pipeline, is expanding its executive leadership team in Waukesha.

Job Purpose

The Director of Construction will serve as the senior leader overseeing commercial construction operations in Waukesha while also contributing directly to business development and revenue growth.

This is a 50/50 leadership role balancing:

  • Construction operations management

  • Business development and relationship growth

The Director of Construction will oversee project lifecycle management, ensure profitability, and expand the company's presence within the commercial construction market.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all commercial construction operations in Waukesha, WI

  • Manage Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams

  • Maintain P&L responsibility and drive strong gross margins

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and project profitability

  • Support a $9M revenue target with projected year-over-year growth

  • Develop relationships with brokers, property management firms, and commercial construction partners

  • Strengthen subcontractor and vendor networks

  • Implement scalable operational processes to support continued hiring and expansion

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in commercial construction

  • Experience as a Construction Director, Senior Project Manager, or Operations Leader

  • Strong financial acumen with P&L oversight

  • Business development experience and established industry relationships

  • Background in commercial construction

  • Base Salary: $115,000 $140,000
