Job description

Path Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Tampa, FL. We are a rapidly growing general contractor headquartered in Arlington Heights, with additional offices in Charlotte, NC; Knoxville, TN; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; and Phoenix, AZ. Our projects span across the country and cover a wide range of industries.

This role is suited for someone with 5+ years of construction estimating experience who is looking to contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position plays a key role in leading and supporting the estimating process, ensuring accurate, competitive, and high-quality bids.

We are seeking individuals with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the estimating process from initial review through bid submission
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates
  • Prepare, organize, and manage bid packages
  • Solicit and manage subcontractor and vendor bids
  • Track and respond to RFIs during the bidding phase
  • Analyze project costs and develop competitive bid strategies
  • Support scheduling and project planning efforts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors
  • Review and contribute to project financials, including P&L considerations
  • Deliver accurate, thorough, and competitive bid analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of construction estimating experience
  • Experience with self-perform work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project
  • Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
  • Strong ability to work effectively in a team environment
