Job description

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, subcontractor coordination and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all on-site activities from mobilization through project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
  • Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations; conduct regular safety meetings.
  • Ensure work meets plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Utilize construction management software (Buildertrend, Procore) and Bluebeam for documentation and reporting.
  • Work efficiently on Microsoft platform using Surface devices.
  • Monitor labor, material, and equipment costs; assist with change order management.
  • Mentor and lead field staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7–10 years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent (residential experience without commercial experience will not be considered).
  • Education: High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management preferred.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour required; First Aid/CPR preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, specifications, and contracts; skilled in Bluebeam and construction management software.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
    • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects strongly preferred.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
