About the Role

We are seeking a Construction Security Senior Program Manager to lead Nscaleโ€™s security program during the development and construction of the Monarch campus in Mason County, West Virginia.

This full-time, site-based role sits within Global Physical & Data Center Security and reports to Physical Security Operations, Americas. You will serve as Nscaleโ€™s primary security representative at the project site, partnering closely with the General Contractor, construction management, Data Center Infrastructure and Design teams, security integrators, vendors, and local stakeholders.

You will lead construction security and security technology delivery while establishing the foundation for the campusโ€™s transition to operational data center security. Success means creating a secure construction environment, maintaining strong governance, identifying risks early, and ensuring there are no surprises at operational turnover.

What you'll be doing

Lead construction security

  • Serve as Nscaleโ€™s primary security representative on the Monarch construction site.
  • Partner with the General Contractor, construction management, and security contractors on day-to-day site security.
  • Oversee access control, badging, visitor management, contractor credentialing, and controls for personnel, vehicles, materials, and equipment.
  • Review site security plans and temporary measures covering staffing, perimeter controls, gates, lighting, surveillance, and access control.
  • Coordinate security requirements with construction phasing and changing site conditions.

Manage risk, incidents, and local coordination

  • Monitor implementation of Nscale security requirements and drive resolution of gaps and emerging risks.
  • Support incident reporting, escalation, investigation, and corrective action, coordinating significant matters with Nscale Security leadership.
  • Maintain relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant government and community stakeholders as directed.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Security, Safety, Legal, Risk, and other Nscale functions where responsibilities overlap.
  • Address security implications arising from public visibility, community concerns, protests, unauthorized surveillance, trespassing, or other site activity.

Deliver security technology and design coordination

  • Act as the site-level liaison to Nscaleโ€™s Security Design & Technology organization.
  • Coordinate with Data Center Infrastructure, the Engineer of Record, the General Contractor, electrical and design teams, and the security integrator.
  • Track the delivery of cameras, access control, biometrics, intrusion detection, intercoms, security networks, and related technologies.
  • Participate in design reviews, construction coordination, system testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities.
  • Identify design or installation issues early and drive resolution while maintaining visibility of schedules, dependencies, risks, and deficiencies.

Provide program governance and reporting

  • Maintain a construction security risk register and track mitigation actions.
  • Provide regular updates on risks, incidents, deficiencies, staffing, technology deployment, and upcoming construction activity.
  • Track security-related milestones and dependencies and participate in relevant project meetings.
  • Conduct or coordinate periodic construction-site security assessments.
  • Maintain security documentation, procedures, and records throughout the project.

Transition security into operations

  • Transition construction security responsibilities into the operational security program as Monarch approaches readiness.
  • Establish operational procedures, post orders, access control processes, and escalation protocols.
  • Validate security technology readiness and operational acceptance.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training for the operational security team.
  • Participate in commissioning, readiness reviews, and turnover activities, closing remaining security gaps before handover.

    • 7+ years of experience in physical security, data center security, construction security, critical infrastructure security, or a related field.
    • Experience managing security programs for large-scale construction or critical infrastructure projects.
    • Experience working directly with general contractors, construction managers, security integrators, and engineering or design organizations.
    • Strong understanding of CCTV, access control, biometrics, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and security communications.
    • Experience developing or implementing security procedures, standards, and risk mitigation measures.
    • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-moving, multi-stakeholder construction environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and discretion with sensitive security information.
    • Ability to identify security risks independently, challenge stakeholders when necessary, and drive issues to resolution.
    • Experience with hyperscale or AI/GPU data centers, power generation, substations, or other critical infrastructure is preferred.
    • Experience with security technology commissioning, Genetec or comparable platforms, local emergency stakeholders, or ASIS certifications such as CPP or PSP is preferred.
