The Sales Manager - Construction is responsible for developing and expanding a defined sales territory within the construction market. This role focuses on both new account acquisition and the growth of existing customer relationships through consultative selling, strategic planning, and execution of sales programs. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, results-driven professional with strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record in outside construction sales.

Sales Territory: PA, WV, ME, NC, VA, VT, RI, NJ, NH, MD, MA, NY, DE, DC, CT

Location/Travel: This is a home office-based position with approximately 75% travel required to various customer and job site locations.This includes day trips and some overnights.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build and grow a sales territory through proactive new account generation and expansion of existing customer accounts within the construction channel
  • Develop and implement sales programs and initiatives with existing customers to increase revenue, product adoption, and long-term partnerships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by developing tailored proposals, presentations, and solutions that address customer needs
  • Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders at customer organizations
  • Attend and represent the company at industry trade shows, events, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to prospective and existing customers
  • Accurately track sales activity, pipeline development, and forecasts
  • Provide regular reports to the regional office and Director of Construction Sales on sales performance, territory activity, and progress against goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and successful execution
