Position Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Commercial Construction Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage budgets, schedules, and quality while ensuring seamless communication between all project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver with a strong commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
- Assign tasks to team members, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
- Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors and site staff, providing direction and support.
- Collaborate with field team to develop, update and maintain project schedules
- Conduct regular meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure effective communication.
Budget and Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial targets are met.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and subcontractor payments.
- Conduct regular financial forecasting and provide status updates to stakeholders.
Risk and Quality Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed on-site.
- Oversee quality assurance to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients on project status.
- Address any client concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, plans, and reports.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project documentation is filed and stored appropriately.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelorโs degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial construction project management.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale commercial projects through all phases.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., RedTeam, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- OSHA safety certifications.
Working Conditions:
- Split time between office work and on-site project oversight.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Travel to project sites as needed.
