Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Superintendent to manage and oversee all field operations, directly supervising Superintendents. The ideal candidate will ensure that quality control, schedule, and safety standards are maintained on all projects.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee all field operations, directly supervising Superintendents.
  • Maintain bottom-line responsibility for the successful completion of projects.
  • Contribute to pre-construction planning.
  • Oversee warranty management.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, scheduling, and quality control are met onsite.
  • Ensure schedules and site cleanliness meet expectations.
  • Help develop schedules for new projects.
  • Attend owner (OAC) meetings when necessary.
  • Support and enhance project team accountability and morale.
  • Provide technical direction to construction teams.
  • Manage risks to minimize project exposure.
  • Maintain effective communication and foster strong relationships with all stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors, designers, and the public.
  • Oversee the coordination and scheduling of construction activities to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Mentor and develop Superintendents, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Assist Project Managers (PMs) as needed.
Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated professionalism, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in supervisory roles in commercial construction, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software, preferably Procore.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • High level of construction knowledge.
  • Positive attitude and ability to maintain a constructive culture.
  • Ability to enforce standards and push teams for productivity.
  • Detail-oriented with a natural inclination for quality.
  • A respected leader with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Computer savvy.
  • Effective trainer and mentor.
