About The Role
Axiom Builders is seeking dedicated and skilled Laborers to join our team for the construction of a high-rise in Nashville, Tennessee. Our Skilled Labor team is responsible for executing specialized tasks, operating tools safely and efficiently, and collaborating with trades and subcontractors to ensure high-quality workmanship. Your commitment to precision, safety, and teamwork will help bring this project to life.
Key Responsibilities
  • Working with the site superintendent and foreman to receive and complete tasks as required;
  • Using hand tools and power tools to perform basic carpentry tasks;
  • Measuring and cutting materials as needed, helping with hands-on installations, performing spot checks and deficiency checks on finished sections of the site;
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for you and others;
  • Attending safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations to better understand the safety aspect of each site;
  • Operating machinery to move, load and unload materials (telehandler, forklift, etc.)

Skills and Experience
  • Physically fit and able to perform the required tasks (lifting, carrying, moving materials up to 50lbs.);
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred;
  • Good work ethic and attitude towards hard work and longer hours;
  • A good understanding of drawings, reading plans and the ability to measure out materials accurately;
  • Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise;
  • Equipment management and operation is an asset including forklift, telehandler and skid-steer.
