Job Purpose

PHINIA is currently looking for a โ€œdynamic, results drivenโ€ individual to join as an Operations Manager in our Laredo distribution center location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continually enforce and improve policies and procedures throughout the facility.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate operation of the facility to eliminate/reduce discrepancies by recognizing weak areas and introducing solutions to strengthen those areas.
  • Provide hands on leadership to site supervisors in developing and implementing programs such as: Safety, CPI, 5S, Lean, and other programs to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Continuous improvement of the operation.
  • Maintain a reporting system on the performance of all functional areas to be available to customers.
  • Develop in coordination with the customer, a detailed site business plan, and ensure that all items in it get measured and accomplished every week.
  • Provide handsโ€‘on support to those areas out of compliance to establish a quick and reliable resolution.
  • Participate in Business reviews as established in coordination with the customer.
  • Proven leadership and people development capability. Trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; proficiency in SAP.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s/masterโ€™s degree.
  • At least 10 years of Distribution Center experience (automotive LD/Heavy Duty).
  • Corrective action experience.
  • 5S lean experience.
  • Special and transition project execution experience.
  • Forecasting experience.
  • Safety oriented.
  • 100% Bilingual.
  • SAP experience.
  • C-TPAT experience.
