Job description

OVERVIEW
Summary/Objective
This position performs a wide variety of activities related to the, Packaging, loading, delivering of all fireplace materials & supplies.
Essential Functions of Warehouse Driver role
  • Attend monthly safety meeting; follow all company/OSHA safety policies and procedures.
  • Packaging & staging next day's jobs for pickup/delivery.
  • Verify all materials packaged, for proper quantities, all materials match sales order.
  • Discuss with Installers, shortages and discrepancies, report discrepancies to Operations.
  • Assist installers/customers with load out, get paperwork signed and file paperwork.
  • Manage installer returns.
  • Keep all bins and wood storage areas clean.
  • Organize cage, restock supplies.
  • Clean debris and pallets from dock area daily.
  • Keeping warehouse clean and free of trip hazards.
  • Assist receiving manager when needed.
  • Pickup orders from various vendors. Pickups must be verified before leaving vendor.
  • Deliver materials to job sites/customers' homes
  • Maintain company vehicle, serviced and clean.
  • Operate company vehicles, forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain fuel receipts turn into Operations Manager.
  • Promote team work.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Competencies/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of:
  • Operational methods, procedures, policies, rules and regulations.
  • Safe and proper loading and unloading of company and delivery vehicles.
  • Correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation and mathematical concepts.
  • Use of terminology of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and other Operations documentation.
  • Modern office methods and equipment, including computers and application software.
  • Automated records storage, and management systems.
