Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Maintenance Helper to join a leading Company located in the Washington, DC surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $20 to $30 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support building maintenance and repair tasks: material handling, job site prep and cleanup, simple repairs, patching, painting, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry support, small project assistance, and building protection.
  • Assist with the use of basic hand tools and portable power tools as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and skilled trades teams to deliver quality service and ensure safety standards.
  • Help organize supplies, prepare work areas, and perform basic troubleshooting for facility issues.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Previous hands-on maintenance, construction, or related work is a plus but not required-willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, service, integrity, and a positive outlook.
  • Ready to tackle challenges, propose solutions, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable working with team members, supervisors, and site contacts.
