Pipelayer Helper - Civil Construction

Location: Alberta (Central / Northern Projects)
Company: Blackline Civil Inc.
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a Pipelayer Helper to support underground utility construction crews installing water, sewer, and storm systems. You will assist pipelayers and operators with trench work, material handling, and pipe installation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pipelayers with pipe installation and alignment
  • Carry, move, and position pipe materials and tools
  • Help prepare trench bottoms (bedding, leveling, grading assistance)
  • Assist with backfilling and compacting trenches
  • Clean and maintain job site areas
  • Signal or communicate with equipment operators
  • Follow directions from Topman, pipelayers, and foreman

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous construction or outdoor labour experience is an asset
  • Willingness to learn underground utility work
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Comfortable working in trenches and around heavy equipment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
