Are you someone who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing details, and contributing to winning projects? Great Canadian Roofing & Siding is looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team! In this role, you'll support the estimating process by helping prepare accurate project costs and proposals. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

As a Construction Estimator, you'll support the preparation of project estimates by reviewing drawings, gathering quantities, and assisting with cost calculations for materials, labour, and equipment. Your day may include helping analyze tenders, verifying scope details, and ensuring estimates align with project requirements and company standards.

You'll work closely with management and sales teams to support proposal development, maintain supplier information, and help present clear, complete estimates. From tracking details to supporting contract discussions, your work will contribute to accurate bidding and successful project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Completion of, or working toward, post-secondary education in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in construction, roofing, insulation, or a related trade is an asset.
  • Willingness to learn construction estimating processes and tools.
  • Basic understanding of construction materials, tools, and installation methods.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently.
  • Basic communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
