Job description

Multiple Positions: Barton Malow Company has an opening for a Construction Engineering Manager at 26500 American Drive, Southfield, MI 48034. 40 hrs/wk. 9am - 5pm. M-F.

Responsibilities: Lead field operations for constructions projects including steel erection (5,000+ tons), roofing, and siding installations across multiple concurrent contracts; interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide non-engineered field staff in executing complex scopes utilizing 3D modeling software like Revit, Tekla or Bentley; develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, integrating fabrication, delivery, and installation timelines; conduct on-site reviews at international fabrication facilities to ensure compliance with client specifications and resolve design-to-fabrication discrepancies; and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts and implement field-driven design enhancements utilizing AutoCAD and BlueBeam.

Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or Construction Engineering, or foreign degree equivalent, plus 8 years of experience as a Construction Manager and/or Superintendent in the commercial and institutional building construction. Experience must include: leading field operations for constructions projects including steel erection (5,000+ tons), roofing, and siding installations across multiple concurrent contracts; 3D Modeling Software including Revit, Tekla or Bentley; Primavera P6; AutoCAD and BlueBeam; and OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
