Construction Project Coordinator

Location: Alexandria, VA

Build Your Career in Residential Remodeling 

Rust Construction is a long-standing design-build remodeling company based in Alexandria, VA, serving homeowners throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. The company has served clients since the 1920s and specializes in kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, additions, whole-home renovations, outdoor living spaces, and historic home remodeling.

Rust Construction is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support the production team and help keep remodeling projects organized, documented, and moving forward. This is a growth-path role for someone with strong administrative, computer, writing, and communication skills who is interested in learning the residential remodeling business from the inside.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project managers with production-related administrative tasks
  • Organize project documentation, communication, schedules, and follow-ups
  • Assist with written updates, project notes, client communications, and internal tracking
  • Coordinate details between the office, field team, vendors, trade partners, and clients
  • Help ensure project information is accurate, timely, and easy for the production team to use
  • Support multiple project managers and projects as needed
  • Learn Rust Construction's systems, processes, and design-build remodeling approach

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write clearly, quickly, and professionally
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support several team members
  • Interest in residential remodeling, construction, architecture, design, or project management
  • Experience in construction, remodeling, architecture, design, or project coordination is helpful but not required
  • Occasional visits to active remodeling job sites may be required.
