We are currently seeking a ConstructionProject Cost Analyst to add to our Goyette Mechanical Construction Division in our South Bend, Indiana vicinity

Specifically, we are looking for local candidates with a background or experience in accounting and billing for a mechanical contractor, HVAC, or construction company.

This is a full-time, non-union salaried position with benefits and competitive salary.

Job duties are in the New Carlisle, Indiana vicinity.

Requirements
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in accounting, billing, accounts receivable and/or accounts payable in a Construction and/or Mechanical Contracting environment.
  • Sound organizational and follow-up skills with strong document management abilities.
  • Demonstrated robust communication skills including vendor follow-up.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines; excellent time management skills are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention-to-detail, timeliness, excellent customer service, prompt follow-up, and accuracy are highly critical in this role.
  • Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing a high emphasis on excellent customer service.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and proactive with good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationwith a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous accounting and/or billing experience for an HVAC/R firm.
  • Solid construction accounting software experience, ie. COINS.
Summary
  • Work closely with a construction project manager(s) and higher-level company accounting team as part of a cohesive effort to ensure financials and bills are processed promptly and properly.
  • Process construction materials billing including reconciling, documenting, and communication with construction partners including clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Purchase misc. materials and equipment needed for projects including requesting quotes, writing purchase orders, maintaining a purchase order log, and approving invoices.
  • Track and follow-up on delivery dates for major equipment and material purchase orders.
  • Project and provide PMs anticipated project costs and update current estimates as projects mature.
  • Maintain log of billings owed, paid, overdue, and coming due.
  • Position may at times maintain a presence at a jobsite trailer, including administrative duties, ordering/organizing jobsite trailer supplies and assisting visitors.
  • Assist the project managers, superintendents, foreman, commissioning team, safety technicians, and other partners with their tasks, as needed
