  • Evaluate existing accounting workflows, reporting structures, and operational processes

  • Review and improve Intuit Enterprise Solutions configuration and reporting functionality

  • Improve month-end close processes and financial reporting accuracy

  • Enhance job costing visibility, reporting, and cost tracking methodologies

  • Review and improve cost code structures, classes, items, and job costing systems

  • Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting tools

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting efforts

  • Create profitability reporting by project, division, and service line

  • Improve estimating-to-production cost tracking processes

  • Develop inventory tracking systems and consumable goods controls

  • Establish purchasing and receiving procedures to improve accountability

  • Build standard operating procedures and process documentation

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and opportunities for automation

  • Improve communication and reporting consistency between accounting and operations teams

  • Partner with leadership to develop long-term accounting and operational improvement strategies

  • Support the development of scalable accounting infrastructure as the organization grows

  • 10+ years of accounting experience

  • 5+ years of construction accounting experience preferred

  • 10+ years of QuickBooks Enterprise experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Intuit Enterprise Solutions (IES)

  • Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting reporting systems

  • Experience with construction job costing, WIP reporting, and cost codes preferred

  • Experience improving accounting systems, processes, reporting, and operational workflows

  • Experience with inventory controls, multi-division reporting, and process improvement initiatives

  • Experience with business process automation and technology-driven reporting solutions

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills

  • Experience as a Senior Construction Accountant, Assistant Controller, or Construction Controller preferred
