Title: Monitoring Analyst

Location: Newark, DE

Duration: 6 Months 


Job Description:

Main Responsibilities: 

High School Diploma with 7+ years' experience.

Leads a team of computer operators.

Operates one or more computer systems, enters more complex commands on computer and peripheral equipment to execute job production applications and resolve equipment failures. 

Under limited supervision, performs a wide range of tasks of varying complexity. 

Resolves a broad range of difficult operating problems. 

Performs more complex daily, weekly or nightly backups on systems to maintain production. 

Maintains audit trail of job activities and status to document productivity. 

Maintains more comprehensive quality records to ensure standards are met. 

Researches peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor to detect faulty output or machine stoppage. 

Tests, evaluates and resolves more complex equipment problems/system outages and escalates issues as necessary to maintain job production. 

Monitors customer data file restores ensuring that data are current and accurate. 

Assists workers in classifying, cataloging and maintaining tapes to oversee and maintain computer operations.


Additional Skills:

3+ years of Remedy, USD, Netbackup, Brightstor, TSM, BackupExec, Omniback

Will monitoring backups across multiple backup interfaces (Netbackup, BackupExec, Brightstor, TSM, Omniback). 

Respond to all backup failures, device failures, tape issues, and restores reported to the backup monitoring tools: Admin Console, DPQM, SMARTS, etc.

Diagnose and troubleshoot backup and device failures, attempt resolution in accordance with documented standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.


Qualifications

High School Diploma with 7+ years' experience
