Job description

Pike County Conservation District (PCCD) is accepting applications for a full-time Resource Conservationist. The position involves a variety of administrative, technical and operational-level work in the fields of erosion control, stormwater management, and waterways management related to PA Department of Environmental Protection Rules and Regulations (ie: Chapters 102, 92 and 105). The job includes inspection, compliance and enforcement activities, and extensive contact with the general public, engineers, earthmoving contractors and developers, municipal officials, and government agency personnel to facilitate planning and implementation of conservation practices associated with land development. Requires excellent communication skills, computer knowledge, ability to read maps/construction plans, math skills and organizational abilities.
Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, water resources, engineering technology, or a closely related natural resource field and one to two or more years of related experience preferred. Knowledge of GIS and/or construction practices a plus. Salary plus County benefits package; salary commensurate with experience.
