Join a team that's helping transform the future of neurosurgery through advanced medical technology. As a Senior Medical Device Connectivity Specialist, you'll play a critical role in connecting innovative surgical systems with the healthcare environments where they are used, ensuring clinicians can seamlessly leverage technology that supports better patient outcomes.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll apply your expertise in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and systems integration to support the successful deployment of the Stealth AXiS surgical system. Working closely with customers, hospital IT teams, and cross-functional engineering partners, you'll help ensure advanced surgical technologies are seamlessly integrated into complex healthcare environments.

Specific tasks include:

  • Designing, developing, testing, and documenting network systems and system components.

  • Assistinginrequirementsgathering, estimating, and planning efforts.

  • Completing Information Security Agreements and related questionnaires from customers

  • Interfacing withsoftware development, systems engineering and test engineers.

  • Participating in on-going professional development activities.

  • Following Medtronic product development standards and practices.

  • Willingness and ability to assume increased responsibility.

  • Occasional domestic and international travel may berequired.

  • All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.

Minimum Qualifications (Must Have):

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based storage, connectivity, and major platforms (Linux, Windows, macOS, Cloud)

  • Experience with VPN implementation (server/client), including integration of heterogeneous network and VPN solutions

  • Solid understanding of core network services and protocols (DNS, LDAP, IPSEC, SSL)

  • Expertise in network routing, VLAN configuration, and administration

  • Experience with Active Directory and enterprise system administration

  • Background in automating data center provisioning and administration

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

  • Experience working cross-functionally with software, systems, and test engineering teams

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills

  • Knowledge of privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, ISO)

  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or hospital IT environments

  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders and customers

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
