Description

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Analyst to join our team in Middletown, RI

As a CM Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and tracking documentation, data, and software for our technical products, services, and processes. As well as, ensuring such components are properly stored and controlled throughout their lifecycle. The Program you would be supporting requires recurring and consistent Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliveries, which you will play an integral part in. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information, ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation, and timely delivery to the government customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Utilize configuration management tools and systems to track and control configuration items throughout the development lifecycle. (Familiarity with SharePoint platform is a plus.)
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation of the status and history of configuration items. Including tracking changes, updates, and releases, and ensuring that the internal configuration management database is up to date.
  • Assist in monitoring and auditing configuration changes to ensure compliance with established processes and procedures.
  • Provide support to development teams on configuration management-related tasks and inquiries.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of configuration management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science or a related field and two (2) years of related experience; years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an accurate and up-to-date configuration documentation.
  • Understanding of configuration management principles and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools, such as CMPro and Windchill. 
  • Experience with maintaining internal document/data repositories.
  • Basic understanding of military structure and terminology. 
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development in the field of configuration management.
