Job description

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Configuration Manager (Journeyman) to support Army Cyber and Space SETA product operations in a fast-paced DevSecOps environment. The selected candidate will work across program management, engineering, test and evaluation, cybersecurity, and logistics teams to maintain disciplined configuration control for hardware, software, product releases, patches, documentation, and baseline artifacts.

The ideal candidate is organized, mission-focused, and experienced supporting configuration management processes within government or defense environments. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support government-facing deliverables in a structured SETA environment aligned to Army cyber and space mission priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and process product distributions for hardware and software platforms, beta releases, patches, and associated documentation.
  • Support configuration audits, fielding activities, and baseline control activities to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of software baselines for each system.
  • Perform software management and configuration management process and procedure audits.
  • Support baseline identification, preparation, maintenance, and control of product documentation.
  • Assist the prime vendor and government stakeholders in developing and implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities, coordinate change requests (CRs), and validate CR submissions for completeness and readiness.
  • Use Jira, Confluence, and related DevSecOps/Agile tools to track configuration items, release activities, change actions, and documentation status.
  • Coordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, and testing teams to ensure configuration integrity across the system lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting related to software baselines, product releases, and configuration status accounting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in configuration management, software management, product operations, release management, or similar technical program support functions.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
  • Experience supporting configuration audits, software baseline control, product documentation control, and release coordination activities.
  • Ability to work effectively with program management, engineering, test and evaluation, cybersecurity, logistics, and vendor teams.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in DevSecOps and Agile development environments, including SAFe methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and related Agile/DevSecOps toolsets.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and change management workflows.
  • Experience supporting Army, DoD, cyber, space, or other mission-focused technical programs.
  • Understanding of software release management, baseline management, and product lifecycle support.
