Job description

Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. We are seeking a highly organized Configuration Management Analyst to oversee and mature our Configuration Management (CM) workflows, moderate technical review boards, and manage critical mission data. This role requires heavy coordination with engineering teams, high performance computer (HPC) engineers, cyber experts, and government/military leadership to define configuration items, manage data migrations, and oversee contract deliverable processes.
Responsibilities
Core Configuration Management Responsibilities:
• The candidate will lead primary CM processes and ensure compliance with leadership objectives. A high-priority and ongoing task involves chairing and moderating Technical Review Board (TRB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings. This includes managing the overall CM workflow, creating Change Request (CR) tickets, updating SharePoint dashboards, and producing official meeting minutes.
• The candidate will conduct critical software tools analysis, delivering briefings directly to Program Managers, Technical Leadership, and Government/Military Leadership.
• The candidate will be responsible for developing a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) Annex, collaborating closely with engineers, HPC engineers, and cyber teams to establish, review, and finalize the Configuration Item (CI) list for government and military leadership approval.
Configuration of Systems, Tools, and Data Support:
• Acting as a Data support for specific tools, the candidate will ensure accurate baselining, data migration, and system improvements. High-priority tasks include partnering with system administrators on WebHelpDesk improvement efforts specifically for CM ticket types, which will involve discussing and updating entry fields for hardware requests.
• The candidate will also support tasking from the government lead to baseline communications rooms, documenting operations and data using a Dat Center Infrastructure Management software such as Sunbird. Furthermore, responsibilities include managing the migration of software licenses and repositories into CMPRO, followed by functional demonstrations to leadership.
• The candidate will manage drawing portals to retrieve engineering drawings from low-side portals and inserting top-level drawings into Microsoft Teams for their team.
• Utilize CAMEO software for ongoing CM efforts and requirements gathering.
Contracts, Compliance, & Support Operations:
• The candidate will oversee the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) process across various hardware and software systems. This includes creating, updating, and reviewing DD1423s for contracts and aligning Statements of Work (SOW) accordingly for both current and future efforts
• Provide support in a limited capacity to technical leads regarding the documentation and tracking of system obsolescence as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3 - 6 years of relevant Configuration Management experience with an Associate's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility is a must.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, and organizational skills.
  • Liaison with all facets of the Integrated Product Support teams to assure complete teamwork.
  • Familiarity with Sunbird software, CMProTM configuration management software, modern databases, managing deliverables, data libraries and Interactive Data Environments (IDE) practices.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $93,900.00/Yr. - USD $156,800.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
