Job description

Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Configuration Manager to join our team in Duluth, GA.

This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a configuration management specialist within the DoW environment.
  • Experience Substitution: 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in an an accredited preferred degree related post-secondary program for 1 year of experience.
  • Configuration Management experience in vehicle or tactical integration work is ideal.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
  • A clearance will not be sponsored.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study.
  • 5 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Analyzes engineering change proposals to determine the effect on the overall system.
  • Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.
  • Develops configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.
  • Participates in design reviews, audits, scheduling, budgeting, etc.
  • Identifies requirements and participates in the development and implementation of computer based configuration/data management systems and related support.
  • Provide configuration management planning.
  • Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
  • Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 annually.
