Job Summary:
Premier Networx is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a Solutions Architect to design, scope, and guide the adoption of IT, cloud, and security solutions for their clients. This role involves translating business objectives into scalable and secure managed solutions while collaborating with various internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and client success.
Responsibilities:
• Lead technical discovery meetings with prospective and existing clients to understand business needs, risks, and growth objectives alongside Sales and Client Success
• Architect on‑premises and virtual server environments, including physical hosts, hypervisors, storage, and network integration.
• Design virtual server infrastructures across VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper‑V, and Azure VMware Solution, including HA, clustering, and performance optimization.
• Lead architecture for on‑prem server environments encompassing compute, storage, networking, identity, and security layers.
• Modernize and migrate legacy on‑prem and virtualized server environments to standardized, scalable, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Design and architect comprehensive backup solutions, including local, offsite, and cloud‑based backups, aligned with business continuity requirements.
• Architect disaster recovery strategies for on‑prem, virtual, hybrid, and cloud environments, including replication, failover, and recovery testing.
• Develop scopes of work (SOWs), statements of recommendations, and project budgets
• Ensure proposed solutions align with compliance standards and cybersecurity best practices
• Work closely with Project Engineers to ensure successful implementation of designed solutions
• Validate technical feasibility, licensing accuracy, and long-term supportability of proposed solutions
• Serve as escalation resource for complex technical environments as needed
• Maintain standardized design documentation within ConnectWise Manage
• Participate in strategic client roadmap planning and quarterly business reviews when needed
• Stay current on emerging technologies and vendor offerings to enhance service portfolio
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years in infrastructure engineering, consulting, or MSP architecture roles
• Experience selling technical products and services OR supporting a sales team as a technical representative
• Track record of engineering
• MSP, VAR, or consulting experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering OR equivalent work experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Server technologies, including Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, and core identity/access services
• Proven ability to design and architect full Microsoft-based server environments, including domain structure, server roles, and hybrid identity integrations
• Strong experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure IaaS, Azure AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365)
• Advanced understanding of networking, firewalls, backup, and cybersecurity frameworks
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-level language
• Strong documentation and scope-writing skills
• Financial awareness of margins, licensing models, and revenue impact
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional MSP teams
• Client-centric mindset with focus on long-term partnership
• Strong solution design and technical planning skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to collaborate across departments and guide technical decision-making
