About the Role:

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages personnel & activities to ensure effective and efficient receiving, storage, and shipping of product in a designated department(s) within the distribution center.

What You'll Do:

  • Utilize and maintain familiarity with WMS systems, specifically AS400/Manhattan, to oversee warehouse operations effectively.
  • Manage and update virtual configuration environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Familiarity with creating & maintaining access control.
  • Conduct analysis and management of PKMS and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Plans and manages both labor & physical product to ensure continuous flow of goods and meets daily distribution requirements in an automated environment.
  • Serve as an effective communicator, fostering partnerships with various stakeholders to promote collaboration and achieve operational goals.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure timely, damage-free, and accurate flow of product through the facility.
  • Maintain inventory control within their area to maintain accurate accountability of physical inventory and reporting.
  • Assures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices within the department.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Provide coverage and support for colleagues in different departments.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field (preferred) w/2-4yrs distribution/supervisory experience.
  • Or 7-10yrs proven leadership experience in a distribution environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of WMS (AS400/Manhattan), PKMS, MHE, RF, and host systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sets departmental and shift work priorities based on information provided by the operations manager.
  • Develops contingency plans for work volume in case of abnormal operating circumstances.
  • Utilizes appropriate managerial techniques to motivate associate staff.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
