Overview
This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and ensure customer configuration requirements.
  • Participates in program design reviews to develop internal processes to meet customer configuration management requirements.
  • Perform BOM analysis for initial program builds and on-going engineering changes as well as reallocations to ensure configuration control is maintained. Identify and communicate configuration control concerns with internal organizations to resolve all inconsistencies.
  • Analyze build records for shipping and communicate open work requirements to internal organizations for resolution.
  • Ensure all shipping documents are in compliance with all requirements for shipping with the hardware and/or electronic transmission to the customer.
  • Coordinate directly with the OEM customer to resolve any issues or concerns identified.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Basic computing skills with moderate proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Required attributes include: detail-oriented person with strong analytical, organizational and communication (listening/verbal/writing) skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in Configuration Verification and Aviation experience
  • Associates degree is preferred
  • Previous aviation configuration verification experience
  • Available for OT hours as needed to ensure work is completed
  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years working in a related field
