Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for transporting an setting chairs and tables in classrooms and will assist in setting up, cleaning, refreshing, and maintaining classrooms and classroom supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Transports tables and chairs to classrooms or other meeting locations and set according to departmental standards as indicated on Banquet Event Order (BEO)
  • Remove all unnecessary equipment from meeting locations and return to the proper storage area.
  • Set up classrooms and other meeting locations according to BEO specifications. Set up includes, but is not limited to, the placement of tables, chairs, pads, pencils, water, and other classroom supplies.
  • Refresh, clean, and breakdown classrooms as assigned.
  • Maintain close contact with supervisors, conference managers, and group contacts to coordinate requests or special needs.
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Maintain a warm, friendly, professional demeanor and strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Inspect and general clean classrooms according to assignment on daily task list.
  • Inspect and clean all unused classrooms for pop-up meetings and site visits.
  • Observe and correct any housekeeping deficiencies, including but not limited to, carpets, tables, chairs, wall and door cleanliness, lighting controls, lighting deficiencies, and trash cans.
  • Set cleaning cart with all supplies that comply with department standard.
  • Assist with meeting room cleaning and breakdown when requested.
  • Comply with all Company standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Work in a manner consistent with the core values of The Company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Ability to read and understand the English language.
  • Must be physically capable of working long shifts of up to 12 hours daily, six days per week when needed.
  • Requires continuous standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., frequent reaching/ grasping/ handling, frequent pushing and pulling up to 100lbs., occasional stooping/ bending/ crouching. Some schedule flexibility is required.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background and drug test.
