We're seeking an experienced Event Manager who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and thrives on turning detailed event plans into flawless execution. As part of our Sales & Event Management team, you'll serve as the primary liaison for clients after the sale, ensuring every event exceeds expectations while collaborating with hotel teams to deliver seamless service from planning through departure.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the complete event planning process from sales turnover through post-event follow-up, serving as the primary contact for clients and ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Culinary, Banquets, Front Office, Revenue Management, and other hotel departments to deliver seamless meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events.
  • Develop and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room blocks, meeting space, event timelines, and client communications while maintaining accuracy throughout the planning process.
  • Conduct pre-convention meetings, event reviews, site inspections, and post-event follow-up to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction while identifying opportunities to enhance the client experience.
  • Partner with clients to manage budgets, event logistics, food & beverage selections, audiovisual needs, and other event details while identifying opportunities to maximize revenue through thoughtful upselling.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Two or more years of Event Management, Catering, Conference Services, or Hospitality Event Planning experience within a full-service Marriott hotel is strongly preferred. Comparable upscale hotel or resort experience will also be considered.
  • Experience managing meetings, conferences, weddings, or social events while balancing multiple groups, deadlines, and client expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Marriott systems including CI/TY, MARSHA, Delphi, Marriott Global Source, eProposals, Passkey, and related event management tools is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room blocks, meeting space management, food & beverage operations, audiovisual services, billing, and event logistics.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and relationship-building skills with outstanding attention to detail and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
