We are looking for an Account Manager (aka Client Relationship Manager) to join our Employee Benefits team on a Hybrid work schedule.
We're looking for an Account Manager (aka Client Relationship Manager) to join our Employee Benefits team - available in Wilmington, MA with travel to/or in Manchester, NH. This is a hybrid role; candidates based in the Wilmington office should expect one day per week in our Manchester office.
In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for clients and a collaborative partner to our Producers and Account Executives - managing the full scope of account service, retention, and day-to-day client experience. Each Account Manager is assigned to a small book of business.
What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel, develop a deep understanding of each client's business, insurance objectives, and benefit program to drive retention.
  • Share timely legislative and compliance updates, keeping clients informed of relevant regulatory changes.
  • Manage the daily service needs of assigned accounts - including claims questions, administrative issues, and client requests - while keeping the Producer/AE informed of status.
  • Capture and distribute meeting and conference call notes to the Account Executive /Producer.
  • Prepare final proposals, benchmark reports, and supplemental sales materials for clients and prospect presentations.
  • Coordinate employee meetings for new and renewal plans, including carrier coordination, completion of new business/carrier change applications, and confirmation of enrollment materials.
  • Draft client communications, open enrollment memos, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Submit notification forms to the Revenue Coordinator within effective dates of change.
  • Support compliance audits in partnership with the Compliance Officer.
  • Manage client 5500 responsibilities, including submission of worksheets and prior filings to Wrangle, and follow up on SAR/signature-ready copies.
  • Execute Client Service Plan calls, quarterly meetings, and mid-year reports.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and carrier developments to continuously enhance client service and support sales efforts.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in employee benefits account management.
  • Active Life/Health license required.
  • Solid knowledge of underwriting principles, alternative funding arrangements, and self-funding.
  • Ability to analyze claims and project renewals for self-funded and large fully insured accounts.
  • Familiarity with state and federal compliance regulations and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

The expected salary range for this position is $57,680 - $112,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
