Job description

Internal Medicine Teaching Faculty (0.5 FTE) – Cone Health

Greensboro, NC

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Moses Cone Hospital, a university-affiliated, community teaching program sponsored by Cone Health, is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) academic General Internist to join our faculty in Greensboro, NC.

This role is ideal for clinician-educators interested in teaching residents and students in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine with teaching experience. Program affiliation: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Position Highlights:
  • 0.5 FTE faculty appointment in a university-affiliated residency program
  • Teaching in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • 12 weeks/year attending on inpatient resident service
  • Continuity clinic ≥ 0.5 day/week + outpatient resident precepting
  • 20% protected time for education and faculty development
  • Shared call model: phone-only evenings, evenly split weekends/holidays
  • Focus on clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine, and informatics
  • Strong emphasis on physician wellness and resiliency
