Job description

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.


Bonnie Cone Classical Academy is currently accepting applications for a Health Aide. Preferably a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA), or Registered Nurse (RN).


Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Provide basic first aid and care for students with minor injuries or illnesses; assess and respond to health-related emergencies as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting students’ health status, including vital signs and medical histories, and maintain accurate health records in compliance with school policies.
  • Administer medications to students according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate documentation of medication distribution.
  • Work closely with the school nurse to implement health programs, manage health screenings, and address any health concerns affecting students.
  • Promote health education and awareness among students, staff, and parents by providing information on health and wellness topics.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized health office, including restocking supplies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff regarding health issues, concerns, and resources available for support.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass applicable background check 
  • Submit fingerprints through NCSBI


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
