Job description

Overview
Key responsibilities include drywall repair, painting, and performing light plumbing, electrical repairs, and normal/regular hi-rise building maintenance. This role requires expertise with hand/power tools, attention to detail, and a focus on safety.


Core Drywall Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Measuring, cutting, and securing drywall sheets (panels) to wood or metal studs using screws or nails.
  • Finishing (Taping/Mudding): Applying joint compound (mud) and tape to seams, followed by multiple coats of compound to create a seamless surface.
  • Repair & Patching: Repairing cracks, water damage, and holes, including matching existing wall textures (e.g., orange peel, knockdown).
  • Sanding: Smoothing dried compound for a paint-ready, flawless finish.


Core Maintenance Duties:

  • Painting: Applying primer and paint to repaired areas or entirely new walls.
  • General Repairs: Fixing doors, trim, lighting fixtures, minor plumbing, and electrical issues.
  • Site Maintenance: Cleaning work areas, setting up, and ensuring safety compliance.


Key Requirements:

  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy drywall panels and work on ladders.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with drywall saws, T-squares, screw guns, utility knives, trowels, and sanders, drills, hand tools, power tools, etc..
  • Skill Set: Knowledge of construction methods, attention to detail, and ability to read blueprints is preferred.
  • Other: All other duties as assigned.
