Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit is growing! A well-established and leading law firm specializing in the representation of homeowner, condominium, and community associations is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience, for our Boca Raton, FL office. The attorney advises boards of directors on corporate issues, manages covenant enforcement, and provides contract review. Our Associates have immediate and direct client contact, work on substantive matters and contribute to the exceptional service our clients have come to expect. The hours for this exempt position are 9:00a.m. โ€“ 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday, and follows a 40-hour workweek. The role starts out as a full-time in office position, with the potential to go hybrid after 60-90 days. The starting salary for this role is $95,000, contingent upon level of experience. Duties/Responsibilities:

ยท Provide legal representation to Condominium and Homeowner Associations.

ยท Conduct legal research and review relevant documents.

ยท Draft opinion letters and violation demand letters.

ยท Advise Boards of Directors on governance matters and owner-related issues.

ยท Attend client Board meetings as needed to provide legal guidance.

ยท Maintain current knowledge of Homeowners Association governing documents, including Declarations, Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations.

ยท Draft, finalize, and record documents related to Condominium and Homeowner Associations.

ยท Maintain a strong understanding of applicable Condominium statutes and provide guidance to client Boards of Directors.

ยท Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and provide timely follow-up to Partners and clients.

ยท Participate in required Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.

ยท Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

ยท 3-7 years of experience practicing Community Association law.

ยท Active and valid Florida Bar license.

ยท Knowledge of, and experience with, the Florida Condominium Act and Florida Homeownersโ€™ Association Act preferred.

ยท Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

ยท Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

ยท Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

ยท Commitment to producing high-quality work and providing excellent client service.

ยท Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

ยท Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, including delegating when appropriate.
